This 1968 Ford F-250 Standard is a Flareside 4×4 pickup that was initially delivered to Lockwood Ford in Roseburg, Oregon, where it was used by the Tenmile Rural Fire District. Power is provided by a 360ci V8, and service since 2021 has included refreshing the four-speed manual transmission and the dual-range transfer case in addition to servicing the differentials, replacing the timing chain and suspension components, and installing a dual exhaust system. The truck is finished in white and red with fire district lettering on the sides. Equipment includes a Dana 44F front axle, manually locking front hubs, 16″ steel wheels, swing-away mirrors, a roof-mounted red light, auxiliary lights, and a CB radio. Seller notes that the windsheild washer pump and reservoir have been removed. Acquired by the seller in 2021, this bumpside F-250 is now offered at no reserve with a Deluxe Marti Report, the owner’s manual, shop manuals, partial service records, and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The truck is fitted with a flareside bed and finished in white and red with “Tenmile Rural Fire Dist.” painted on the doors. A spare tire is mounted on the left of the flareside bed, auxiliary lights are mounted to the front bumper, and a red light is mounted atop the roof. A diamond plate rear bumper and swing-away mirrors are also equipped.
Steel wheels are mounted with 7.00×16 Power King tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner. Service in 2022 included repacking the wheel bearing and replacing a tie rod end, the U-joints, and the king pins.
The cabin houses a bench seat upholstered in red vinyl. A CB radio, a heater, and switchgear for the auxiliary lighting are equipped.
The steering wheel frames a sweeping 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, alternator charge, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 360ci V8 was factory rated at 215 horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that service in 2021 included replacing the radiator and the timing chain and gear in addition to installing a dual exhaust system.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, both of which were refreshed in 2022. Additional service included resurfacing the flywheel and replacing the clutch, the pinion seal in the front Dana 44F differential, and servicing the rear differential.
The Deluxe Marti Report shows that the truck was initially delivered to Lockwood Ford in Roseburg, Oregon, and lists factory equipment and production statistics.
